Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!

Revelation 15:3b

Our mission is to show the people of Ukraine that God cares for them. We invite individuals, churches, organizations, and businesses to join us and participate in changing lives one at a time.

Our Impact

UKR Kids makes an impact by building relationships and striving to be there for the needs of the children and people we help. Our own physical needs and those of our children were met by faithful Christian people. When, humbled, we said to those who helped us that we would never be able to thank them enough, they answer, "This is what family is about." And so, we are doing our best to be "this is what family is about" to those we help.

Ways to Help

01 — Medical Outreach

Ukrainian families who are desperate for medical care but unable to afford it, need to see and know God’s love. Our medical fundraising helps pay for the treatment of children who need rehabilitation services, physical therapy, dental work, and other similar procedures. While these may be routine treatments for people in the U.S., they are life saving for Ukrainian children with Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cancer and other diseases.

02 — Ukraine Church Prayers and Donations

UKR Kids is coming alongside a church in Kherson, Ukraine, Holy Trinity Reformed Presbyterian Church, which is on the front line of this horrible war. The city is being destroyed daily by smart bombs, artillery, and all types of drones with explosives. Congregants face constant stress, horrible pollution, and trauma—they go to sleep at night simply hoping they will wake up the next day. There are so many needs, including basic food and medicine. Every day it is more and more dangerous to stay in the city. We are getting ready to evacuate people to a safer location in the next month or two. God provided several empty houses in a town 3 hours away and we need money for transportation, and money to prepare those houses for living. We are seeking people who can pray for Holy Trinity Church and donate towards meeting their needs. Our goal is to raise money that go specifically to Holy Trinity. All donations are tax deductible, and 100% of all donations go directly to helping those in need in Ukraine.

03 — coming winter

No one around us is afraid of coming winter: most people are excited for Christmas, full of lights and gifts, some cool temperatures and new experiences, some family trips and maybe even some snow like last year! Some great food, shopping and relaxing time with friends, celebrations, parties, RSVPs, tickets to go to places - all nice expectations.

Most people we know in Ukraine are very afraid of coming winter. Not only bombing, death and wounds, but also many hours and sometimes days without electricity, without heating, most likely without water and gas. It was this way last winter. If all goes as it does now, it will be worse this winter. Freezing, exhausted, hungry and dark. The church, Christian people in Ukraine, are doing what they can today to get ready to help people in need during the winter. To help as a testimony of God who cares. We are raising money to equip churches to help people with basic needs to survive - warm blankets, portable gas cookers with small gas tanks, power-banks, flashlights, soaps that don’t require water. These and other similar items. One set of items costs 100 dollars. Please help suffering families in Ukraine to live through the winter. Please help churches to come alongside the people at this hard time.

04 — special events

Those “I will always remember this” type of events for children like VBS and Christmas celebrations, put together by churches. Many situations when there are volunteers ready to serve, but resources are so limited to make bright crafts, or give gifts, or even pay for gas to get to places where children live. See the videos in “Stories” of examples of VBS in Kherson Region and “Calling of the Faithful” Rehab Center in Chernivtsi Region - all done through faithful Christian men and women, all possible through God opening hearts of people who donated to help them.

05 — medical Equipment Shipping

Medical equipment in Ukrainian hospitals, orphanages, and rehab centers has been destroyed by the war. Fortunately, there is equipment here that could be donated and put to good use to serve patients in Ukraine. Our simple need is for money to cover shipping costs. Please help by making a financial contribution to cover these costs and care for our Ukrainian neighbors.

Meet the Kukushkins

Serhii and Olga are honored to serve a gracious God and contribute to His mission in Ukraine. Serhii, a Ukrainian pastor, had to come to the United States with his wife, Olga, and their four children as refugees after their hometown of Kherson was occupied by Russian troops.

Now, he is dedicated to supporting children in need – those facing health challenges or lacking basic necessities – across both large cities and remote villages in Ukraine. In a nation enduring immense suffering, children remain the most vulnerable, and it is a profound privilege to be part of God’s work in caring for them.
